Long Jump
This event requires a combination of speed, strength, and agility in an attempt to leap as far from the take-off point as possible into a sand pit. Athletes must take-off before the board otherwise the jump is a foul.
The men’s world record is 8m95 Mike Powell and the women’s world record is 7.53m Galina Christyakova.
